Arnold is not only a fantastic bodybuilder, but he also has great charisma. This combination made it possible for him to win seven—that's right, SEVEN—Mr. Olympia titles. He completely changed people's views on bodybuilding. He proved to people that it was healthy, sexy, and fun.

Ronnie Coleman came in ninth for Mr. Olympia in 1997. Longing for the sixth place, he worked even harder. However, instead of reaching sixth place, Ronnie came out ON TOP! He shares the record for the most Mr. Olympia titles won with Lee Haney. That number being eight.

Dorian Yates came out as a contender against Lee Haney. He challenged Lee, and just barely lost to him. He was so muscular and well-conditioned that he was a shoe-in for the next Mr. Olympia. And so that's how it went!

Sergio Olivia is often considered the most genetically gifted of bodybuilders. He went through very basic training and nutrition, but came out on top. He won a Mr. Olympia! His symmetry and proportions were almost perfect, had he had incredible muscle density.

Franco Columbu was a more compactly-made bodybuilder. His legs were not well developed enough and he wasn't a favorite on the stage, but he still managed to win Mr. Olympia in 1976 and 1981. He started out as a boxer, and at one point in his life was an actor, too.

Steve Reeves is another former actor. But he once turned down a job because he could not lose his muscle for the part and still compete in bodybuilding. He enlisted in the Army during WWII and served in the Philippines.

Mike Mentzer started his bodybuilding career at eighteen. He was big on philosophy, considering philosophy and bodybuilding to be the same. He said, “Man, is an indivisible entity, an integrated unit of mind and body.”
